This course is part of the intellectual outputs of the Erasmus Project nº 2023-1-RO01-KA210-YOU-000153810, titled “Let´s Raise Climate Change Awareness, for the Rise of Resilience!” for raising awareness about climate change and resilience in earthquake, fire situations and other natural disasters, among disadvantaged younger who will bear the brunt of the consequences of climate change in the future. It is linked with the Environment and the fight against climate change as a priority.

The partners are from Romania, Turkey and Portugal are commited to provide environment and climate change research, to develop digital content and pedagogical practices and to promote inclusion of marginalised young people.
Risk and hazard are common terms, defining complex and interconnected parameters and processes.
Besides earthquakes, fires and floods, Romania, Turkey and Portugal face other kinds of natural disasters.
Get to know the regions most at risk of natural disasters in each of the member countries of this project.
The principles of emergency management are:
- forecasting and prevention;
- priority of protecting and saving people's lives;
- respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms;
- taking responsibility for emergency management by public administration authorities;
- cooperation at national, regional and international level with similar bodies and organisations;
- transparency of the activities carried out for the management of emergency situations, so that they do not lead to worsening of the effects produced;
- continuity and gradualness of emergency management activities, from the level of local public administration authorities to the level of central public administration authorities, depending on their scale and intensity;
- operability, active cooperation and hierarchical subordination of components of the National Emergency Management System.
